Pass the Exam or Don't Pay Promise
Take the steps to increase your career opportunities and grow your income potential. Pass the certification exam and add “Certified Medical Billing Specialist” to your list of credentials. If you don’t pass, you don’t have to pay – you have nothing to lose! Certification is not required by most employers, but it is a great way to set yourself apart and give your career an advantage. Become a professional in the medical billing field!
Qualify for the Certification Examination Promise:
- Get an “A” in Allied’s Medical Billing, Insurance Billing and Reimbursement courses.
- Schedule to take your certification exam approximately 30 days after completion of Allied’s Medical Billing Program.
- Set up proctoring of the Certified Medical Billing Specialist (CMBS) examination. This is coordinated among you, the proctor at the test site, and the Medical Association of Billers (MAB).
- Send the following to MAB:
- a check for $199 to pay for the exam
- a letter stating your name and address (so that the test results can be sent directly to you)
- Study for the certification exam using the guidelines and study information provided with the program materials.
- Take the CMBS exam.
If you don’t pass the exam on your first try, MAB will allow you to take the exam again (within 30 days) at no extra charge.
If you don’t pass the exam on your second try, you must submit your failure notice to Allied. Allied will refund the money you have paid to take the certification exam.
